August 2, 2016Jeans made easy
August 18, 2016It seems pink is having a little moment and with its gentle warming effect for most skin tones, it’s a good bet to wear now and in the future. Its easy to use as a basic and looks sweet with denim or khaki which adds the tougher edge.
In the new September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, they feature a Think Pink editorial, full of pretty shades from rose to damson, blush and fuchsia, photographed by Serge Leblon and styled by Leigh Clark, whilst style blogger Alexandra Stedman from The Frugality featured her favourite vintage wash pink Gap T-shirt last week See here. Another blogger Fran Bacon from The Fashion Lift inspired me to want a pair of pink trainers when she featured her pink Adidas with dresses and jeans.
Everyday pink stripes from Jigsaw.
Tie waist blush midi skirt, great with slim fit t-shirts and ankle tie sandals.
Slip on nude leather sandals, perfect to soften the denim effect.
New season softness from Whistles, add this shell pink lace for evening instead of black or white.
Just wearing a hint of pink adds a gentleness to jeans, or a two piece for the full on delicate flower effect.
The meaning behind the word pink, is apparently unconditional love and nurturing and with it’s skin tone likeness has sensual and sexual connotations, so something to think about when you choose to wear it.

Hi Kirstie I always look forward to your inspiring posts popping up in my inbox and this one was especially welcome after our chat about the limits and pitfalls of white jeans- for me they seldom deliver what imagine and I hope for!! Early this morning in a ‘distracted from studying’ moment I found a pair of Rose quartz ankle skimmer zip jeans in Boden sale. I’ll let you know whether they fill the gap in my wardrobe! Be good to hear when you are next planning a jeans workshop too as I’ve discovered the perfect pair in black doesn’t mean they will be perfect in another colour e.g. white!! Why is that…sooo annoying! Back to studying now!
Hi Teri, glad to hear you liked the pink thing for inspiration… it’s funny how a mini trend appears sometimes.Yes love to know how the Boden jeans fit. My next Jeans Workshops are on Saturday 10th September at 10.30am or 2.30pm or Tuesday 13th September at 2.30pm. There are still some spaces so let me know if dates work for you. K xx
