January 1, 2020Spring Jackets…what to look out for
February 27, 2020
I have the feeling I want to wear pink….it may be the gloomy weather, but I suddenly want to find a shade of blush to wear. Not the baby soft kind, but the hot power shades that liven up the skin and add a kick to neutrals.
I bought my first pair of brown trousers in years just last week, a proper mud brown that reminds me of wartime land girls and pink is the colour to lift them up from farming workwear.
They are a cotton balloon style, easy to wear, with a high waist that needs to be shown. Tuck in at the front or wear with a very slim fit top, and belted to optimise the small waist. Being a little picky for a £25 garment, the back pockets are too high but I often think that with denim designs. I’ll be in flats by the way.
Add the pink…. Less fuchsia, more hot candy!
And here are a few ways to wear it….designer level, Dolce & Gabbana are doing with leopard, selling on Farfetch.
And inspiration on Pinterest, as ever, a great source of new ideas…
Don’t let the dull days get you down, think hot with humble to get the balance.
